after the frank lloyd wright home and studio tour that my friend shannon and i participated in, we stopped at a random chinese restaurant for lunch. at some point i looked up and realized that every table had a tiny diner's club sticker on the wall above it, about 6-8 inches above eye level. i couldn't help but snap a picture.

his studio features many columns that each have these birds on every side. i thought they were really interesting and quite different from his usual stream-lined version of nature.

this guy is located right next to the elevated brown line armitage stop. i like to think that he's looking down at the people on the street yelling at them because he's lonely. crotchety lonely old buidling decoration type guy.

this is the first of these that i've seen. i'm sure it has been around awhile since that star wars promotion was a few months ago. i'm glad i got to see it--when i was little i loved r2d2. i think i wanted to marry him.

the chia pet is not nearly so easy to grow as the commercials would have you believe. it has to be watered daily, without fail. and, um, it's growing *mold*. i'm hoping that will somehow clear up on its own.
it's little sprouts sure are cute, though!

i usually walk by this gate quickly, but it always makes me do a double-take. i finally decided to slow down and see what was really happening, and it's exactly what i thought. that gate is doing absolutely nothing since the neighbor didn't gate their side.

i went to the grocery today after work. there were no signs of rain all day today.
when i left, however, it was pouring! on top of that, the rain was coming down *hard* and the wind was blowing something fierce.
i'm just glad that i happened to switch to my waterproof timbuk2 bag this morning. otherwise, the camera that took this picture and just about everything else i carry would probably be ruined. well, maybe not the camera . . . i just remembered that it is weather resistant. yea!

aimee's mom is visiting and we had some picture fun on the bus. this was my favorite of the bunch, mostly because of peggy's face, but especially because of the juxtaposition of aimee's face.
